The Zen Island of the Philippines (Siargao) – Haley Dasovich

Haley Dasovich goes to Siargao in the Philippines. Renting a jeepney and roadtripping around the surf capital of the Philippines, Siargao, might just be the coolest way I’ve explored ANY island in this beautiful country! So Haley Dasovich and her Brother Wil Dasovich went to Siargao in the Philippines. So a little history should be in order don’t you think? Siargao is a tear drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. It has a land area of approximately 437 square kilometres. The east coast is relatively straight with one deep inlet, Port Pilar. The coastline is marked by a succession of reefs, small points and white, sandy beaches. The neighbouring islands and islets have similar landforms.
