This year saw a record 37 sequels arrive at the multiplex and while films like Captain America: Civil War and Finding Dory managed to dominate the box office, many of the others released totally flopped. Whether it can be contributed to “sequel fatigue” or the fact that many of them just weren’t very good, 2016 turned out to be a terrible year for sequels, but hopefully 2017 will be much better. As a sign of anticipation for the year ahead, we’re sharing our list of the 11 sequels that we can’t wait to see.
